Atlanta Layover

Stuck on an Atlanta layover? The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is a busy airport, as both Delta and Eastern Air Lines use this airport as their chief hub. If you’re stuck in Atlanta for either a short or lengthy stay, there’s plenty to do.

The airport proudly offers wireless Internet service from anywhere inside the airport, including “hard to reach” places including under the concourses.To keep kids entertained, the airport has a website specifically designed for them.In addition, in the transportation mall between Concourse A and the T-Gates, you can find 20 stone sculptures from Zimbabwe. There are also art displays made by Atlanta’s young artists through the airport. You can also find shopping, and plenty of restaurants and bars.

You’ll need a minimum of three hours nationally to leave the airport (leave for an hour back in the airport to clear security), and more for International flights (a minimum of 5 hours) to make sure you leave enough time for Immigration and security. The destinations in Atlanta are a bit of a ways away from the airport (downtown is 20 minutes each way), so make sure you pad more than enough time to make your connecting flight.

World Of Coca-Cola
At double the size of the original World of Coca-Cola, this new facility offers a 4-D theater (3-D but with moving seats), the largest collection of coke memorabilia, a fully-functioning bottling line, a tasting experience of over 60 samples, and a pop culture gallery.

Atlanta Segway Tour
This guided tour gives you a history of Atlanta, by zipping you around in a segway. It’s a great way to see the city, get some great photos, learn the history and have some fun.
