Stuck on a layover at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport? The Texas airport is the seventh busiest airport in the world, and is the main hub of American Airlines. The Fort Worth airport is located between Dallas and Fort Worth, and is roughly 18 miles from downtown Dallas which makes it an accessible destination for those on a long layover. There’s lots to do in the Dallas airport, for those stuck inside on a layover. You can check out the interactive map of the airport, which shows where everything is located. As far as services, the airport offers airline clubs (American, British Airways, Continental, Delta, Korean Air, Lufthansa, Priority Pall and The Club at DFW. For kids, there’s a McDonald’s Play Area at D33 and a Pepsi Junior Flyer’s Club at B12 and C14. There is also InMotion Entertainment at D10, D31 and E16. The airport also provides free power and wired Internet, Cellular Broadband, PowerPort Internet, Samsung Mobile Travel Center, and Wi-Fit (T-Mobile).
There are also barber shops and salons (in C17 and B24), Interfaith Centers, Manicures (in A24, B24 and D20), Massage Chairs and Therapists (A24, B24 and D20) Shoe shines throughout the airport, and an XpresSpa (A24, D20). DFW also has a multimillion dollar Public Art Program in International Terminal D and the Skylink train stations. There is also a Sculpture Garden outside Terminal D in arrivals.

Dallas World Aquarium
The Dallas World Aquarium is home to many unique exhibits including underwater, flora and fauna. Don’t miss the rainforest exhibit, the outdoor South Africa exhibit and the seasonal Madagascar display. There’s also a 40 foot long tunnel of sharks and rays, and a preservation program for young green sea turtles.
Nasher Sculpture Center
Dedicated to modern sculpture, the Raymond and Patsy Nasher Collection displays over 300 sculptures with twentieth century paintings and drawings. The sculptors are from dozens of artists including Rodin, Calder, de Kooning, Matisse, Miró, and Picasso.
