My husband and I on our return journey back to England from Amsterdam decided to visit the expressspa at Amsterdam airport. I had an express manicure which was OK. Then I had a pedicure – I am on the whole a positive person who likes to give someone the benefit of the doubt. BUT my pedicure was to say the least painful! I have had my cuticals pushed back on numerous occasions from experienced beauticians but i winced at each toe and thought this girl would do well in the torture chamber!!! The ‘beautician’ then had to ‘mop’ the spilt nail varnish from my legs! She continuously used a Q tip to correct the varnish she had painted on my skin around my big toe!! Needless to say I couldn’t wait the 5 minutes for my varnish to dry on my nails and not forgetting the skin around my toe!! And decided to get the he’ll out of there before she turned the back massager on again!!!!! Oh I forgot to say about that! On paying for our treatments the lady seemed reluctant to give me my change and asked “would you like to leave the lady a tip?” and as I took my change I chickened out in case they decided to keep me there.
Hi, I also used the spa at the airport for a clothed massage and it was the worst experience of my life. The therapist was totally brutal and I was nearly in tears. I did ask her to be more gentle but she didnt really lay off. I am now really sore the next day and would not recommend them. The lady at the till also asked me to tip the girl which I ignored and it was 32 euro for 15 mins a rip off!
