Stuck on a layover at Dublin Airport (Aerfort Bhaile Atha Cliath) in Ireland? If so, you’ll find that there’s plenty to do to keep you occupied during your wait, both inside and outside the airport. If you’re stuck in the Dublin airport during your layover, to help you get situated, here’s a series of airport maps.
If you’re stuck inside the airport during your Dublin layover, there’s a number of facilities and services to keep you occupied. On your layover, you can find shops, bars and restaurants throughout the airport. There are also self service postage kiosks, banking, a business lounge (three hours for€25 per person and at times offers a 2 for 1 special), Internet access, baby changing facilities, medical and religious facilities.

The airport is located 6.2 miles north of Dublin City which makes it accessible for those on a long layover. The city can be reached by buses and taxis. An underground railway line called ‘Metro North’ which will connect the airport to Swords and Dublin city center is still in development. Car rentals are also available.

Temple Bar/Dublin’s Cultural Quarter
Home to many brothels in the 18th century, this area which is located in the heart of Dublin’s City Centre, has some of Dublin’s most popular bars, restaurants and shops. These narrow, cobbled streets is a fun, young area of town. This is also a great area for visiting some pubs and nightclubs.

Love this website–such a great idea! It’d be nice to know approximately how far the suggestions are from the airport, as well as how long they usually take, so readers can get an idea of which stops are practical for which length layovers, but it’s certainly nice to have a jumping-off point from which to do the research myself, at least!
