For those stuck in the airport, you’ll find that it’s modern and spacious with lots of things to keep you occupied. There are a variety of restaurants, bars, and cafe options in terminals 1 and 2, in the public and transit areas. There’s also duty free and regular shopping, a post office, banks and ATMs, and access to the Internet through T-Mobile Hotspot.

If you arrive at night or are looking for a place to rest, the Ramada airport hotel, is a great place to catch some zzzz’s. You can pay for a room per night (from 99 Euros) or for 4 Euros per hour.

You can also take advantage of Prague Layover tours – which will pick you up straight from the airport. Guiding Prague offers a few different versions depending on your time and budget. In addition if you have the time, you can take advantage of Sandeman’s three hour free walking tour.

Prague’s city center is located 17 km north of the city – roughly a 30 minute trip by taxi. There is currently no train or subway connection from the airport, but you can take a taxi, shuttle or minibus.

Segway Tours
If you have three hours out and about in Prague, and want to see the sites in a fun way, we suggest the Prague Segway Tours. A usual tour starts at the Charles bridge, and shows the sites of Petrin Park, Strahov Monastery, Prague Castle, St. Nicolas, the Jewish town, the Old town square and the Astronomical clock. Charles Bridge (Karluv Most)
The Charles Bridge is a striking gothic bridge connects Old Town and Malá Strana and is a much see stop for visitors to Prague. Filled with musicians, painters, vendors and tourists during the summertime, it also provides some nice photo opportunities.

Prague Castle (Prazsky hrad)
The Prague Castle is the city’s most popular site and from this hilltop castle you’ll get a view the city and Vltava River. Built in 880 in the “Bohemian Baroque” architecture, today it houses the office of the President. Here you can watch the changing of the guard (every hour), stroll through the castle and visit the courtyards, gardens, shops and restaurants.

Old Town Square (Staromestske namesti)
The Old Town Square is the center of Prague since the 10th century and houses the Old Town Hall Astronomical Clock. Surrounded by historical buildings, around the square you can find the St. Nichols Church, the Church of Our Lady Before Tyn , and many additional buildings. It’s a great place for starting out on your sightseeing, and a great place to people watch or grab a bite to eat. Just remember to get back to the airport with plenty of time left on your layover to catch your connecting flight.
