Located 25 miles south of downtown Houston in the NASA/Clear Lake Area, the Space Center Houston is a fun destination where visitors can experience space. With exhibits and attactions including watching astronauts train for missions, touch a moon rock, and take a behind-the-scenes tour, it’s a great way to spend time when stuck on a long layover.
San Jacinto Battleground
Located 20 miles east of downtown Houston, the San Jacinto Battleground Historic Park contains the area of the battle. Great for history and war buffs, visitors can also elect to ride to the Monument’s observation floor 489 feet for views of the city and the Houston Ship Channel.
Observation Deck of JP Morgan Chase Tower
To get a good view of Houston, visit the Sky Lobby on the 60th Floor of the JPMorgan Chase Tower. The Sky Lobby is open to the public during the working hours of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
