Pueblo Grande Archaeological Park and Museum should be on this list! It is quite literally kitty corner to the airport. You can take the free shuttle bus from your terminal to the Metro Light Rail station at 44th St and Washington. Once you get there, Pueblo Grande is simply across the street to the east. It’s a National Historic Landmark of a 1500 year old Hohohakam platform mound ruins, along with a museum, reproductions of Hohokam dwellings, and sometimes there are even community events going on. Admission is only $6. http://phoenix.gov/recreation/arts/museums/pueblo/index.html
