The airport is a main hub for American Airlines, and is located roughly 13 miles (21 km) which makes it accessible to those stuck on long layovers. Taxis are available for passenger pickup at Terminal: 1 Exit Door MT 14 –to Main Garage Yellow Level and Terminal: 2 Exit Door ET 12. Journey time to St. Louis is roughly 20-30 minutes and average taxi fare runs around $35. Shared shuttles (1-877-785-4682) leave the airport every 15 to 30 minutes between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. In addition, there are rental cars available at the airport, and bus and limos.
