Michelle Obama, joined by nine-year-old daughter Sasha, arrived at the Hotel Villa Padierna in Marbella, Spain on Tuesday for a little mother-daughter vacation time.
In addition to meeting with Spain’s King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia, Michelle and Sasha will have plenty of activities to keep them entertained at this five-star hotel in southern Spain. On a clear day, there are views to Africa.
Villa Padierna is part of the Ritz Carlton hotel group. According to the website, the hotel has an impressive roster of attributes:
- 129 exquisitely appointed guest rooms, suites and villas
- Three 18 hole golf courses: Los Flamingos (par 71), Alferini (par 73) and Tramores (par 71)
- Racquet Club with six paddle courts and two tennis courts

- Exciting cuisine featuring Andalucian, Mediterranean and international menus
- Over 12,000 square feet / 1,000 square meters of meeting space
