Malecon 2000 In Guayaquil, Ecuador

Dec 28, 2011 | Comments 1

On a recent stopover in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on the way to the Galapagos Islands, we had a chance to check out the Malecon 2000, a boardwalk that spans the Guayas River. Here you can take a stroll along the river, and stop at the many points of interest including restaurants, bars, theaters, fountains, and gardens.

We must say, we were impressed and snapped a few photos of our favorite views. It proved to be a great stop for an overnight layover in Guayaquil.
