Stuck on an Orlando layover at the Orlando International Airport (MCO)? The airport is located roughly six miles from downtown Orlando, which makes the city an accessible destination for those stuck on a long layover. If you’re trying to figure out if you can leave the airport during your layover, click here for useful tips.

If you’re stuck in the Orlando airport during your layover, you’ll find that there’s plenty to do. To help you get situated, here are maps of the terminals. The airport hosts a number of shops and restaurants , ATMS, currency exchange and banks on level 3, the Hyatt Business center for your business needs, medical clinic, Internet kiosks, postal services, and more (listed here and here by location).

The airport also has free Wi-Fi access throughout the airport terminals. You can also find the Art Collection of a variety of styles and media that is distributed throughout the terminal complex.

If you arrive at night or are looking for a place to rest, the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport is located inside the airport terminal. In addition, here’s a list of other hotels in the immediate area.

Unfortunately, due to changes in federal security requirements, the baggage lockers and baggage check facilities at Orlando International Airport have closed. Layover Guide suggests renting a cheap hotel room to drop off your bags while you explore.

If you have a long layover and are looking to explore Orlando, there are a number of transportation options. From the airport, you can take a taxi (which is roughly $35 each way to downtown Orlando), complimentary hotel shuttles, local bus service, and shuttle vans.
