The airport is a hub for Scandinavian Airlines. Located just five miles south of Copenhagen city center, it is a great place to get out of the airport during long layovers (preferably over 5 hours for International flights, but always plan with extra time for immigration, customs, and security.)

If you’re stuck in the airport during your Copenhagen Layover, looking to pass some time, you can learn about wireless access to get online at the airport, here. To find airport more information and location on the airport hotel, lounges, banks, children locations, travel agencies and ticket offices, click here.

If you are looking to drop off luggage, and explore the city, there are lockers for a maximum of 72 hours in car park 4 and a place called Left Luggage (in the Arcade between Terminals 2 and 3) that you can leave your luggage for up to four weeks. Click here for Left Luggage information.

For transportation, you can pick up a taxi outside the arrival areas at Terminal 1 and 3. Another great option is the Metro, which is located at the end of Terminal 3. The travel time from Nørreport Station in central Copenhagen to the airport is 15 minutes. For a map of the metro and more information on traveling from the airport, click here.
Trains depart at 12-minute intervals. For schedule of the Airport Express, please click here.

LayoverGuide.com’s Suggestions Of Things To Do On A Hong Kong Layover:

It starts from the western end of IFC and it is an outdoor escalator that will take you through the middle of the city, restaurant/bar area and then up towards the more residential areas.

The Seoul-Gimpo Airport is one of two main airports in Seoul (the other being the Incheon International Airport – the Layover Guide for Incheon can be found here). The Seoul-Gimpo airport is located approximately 11 miles from Seoul’s city center, which makes it an accessible location for those stuck on long layovers. If you’re trying to determine whether you can leave the airport during your layover, click here for useful tips.

If you’re stuck in the airport during your Seoul layover, the terminals host a number of services to help you bide your time. The International Terminal has a number of services including bank and currency exchange, shopping (outlet and duty free), a CGV Theater, food, an information desk, baggage storage, a convention center and much more. An interactive map of the terminal as well as additional information can be found here and for a complete list, broken down by floor number, click here.

If you’re located in the Domestic Terminal, there’s also plenty to do here. Click on this interactive map of the Domestic Terminal where you’ll find services including shopping, food and beverage, banking, shoeshine, baggage storage, post office, children’s playroom and child care facility, pharmacy and more. For a complete list, broken down by floor number, click here.

In addition, there is a Top Class VIP Lounge located on the 3rd Floor of the Departure Hall and the 1st floor of the Arrivals Hall. The lounge costs 77,000 won for less than two hours and 22,000 won for every additional hour. It is suggested that you make a reservation via telephone 2 days in advance (+82-2-2660-2403).

If you arrive at night or are looking for a place to rest in Seoul, there are many hotels near the airport. To find a comprehensive list of hotels with varying price points, click here.

If you’re planning on leaving the airport during your Seoul layover, there’s a number of transportation options available. Taxi platforms are available in front of each airport building, including regular, deluxe and short distance taxis (pricing and more info can be found here). A rail map and info is here and subway information is located here with information on routes, tickets and stations. In addition, there is an assortment of bus options listed here. Drivers often do not speak English so you may want to write down your destination in a Korean on a piece of paper.

Seoul Tours
The Han River Boat Cruise is a great way to get a scenic tour of the city. There are one-way and
round trip tours. For prices and contact information, click here. There are also a bunch of city bus tours including Aju Incentive Tours, and Seoul City Bus Tour, as well as Seoul temple tours including Discover Asia and Goway- Korean Temple Stay.

Insadong
The art district of Insadong is a great place to take in the sites of Seoul. Whether weaving your way in and out of antique shops and private galleries, grabbing a cup of tea at one of the many tea houses, or wandering through the Historic Tapgol Park where you can visit the Pagoda, the location that Korea’s Declaration of Independence was read in 1919.

Gyeongbokgung Palace
The Gyeongbokgung Palace houses the National Museum of Korea and the National Folk Museum. The Palace, built by the Chosun dynasty six centuries, is one of the most famous and oldest Seoul attractions. You can also check out Dongshipjagak, the ancient watch tower.

Myeongdong
If you’re looking to shop, the Myeongdong is a big street flea market as well as a historic walking area. If you’re looking for more serious shopping, check out Namdaemun Market. As one of Korea’s largest wholesale markets, it covers over 10 acres and is the one of the best spots to get some nice souvenirs and clothing, as well as some knock offs. It is closed on Sundays.

N Seoul Tower
If you’re looking for a good aerial view of the city, check out N Seoul Tower. With an observation deck 370 meters tall you can get a great birds eye view of the city (pollution and weather depending).

Deoksugung Palace
The Deoksu-gung Palace is one of Seoul’s smallest of Seoul’s palaces, built during the mid-fifteenth century. Known for its unique stone wall road and the wide bridge of Geumcheon. Here you can also find the Palace Treasure exhibition, and part of the National Modern Arts Center.
